Need help with Chroma key Technique

I'm interested in using the chroma key technique for my own films. I have
read that in order to perform chroma key effects you would need to film the
subject infront of a blue or green background.

Could anybody out there tell me where I can get chroma key paint or any special chroma key cloth within the UK. Please let me their address or even better their website.

I have tried using just a normal blue cloth but the results are not that good when using it with my video editing package VideoWave III. This software has built in chroma key effects for merging two pictures together.

Grateful for any help or hints received.

I've been using chromakey-green fabric from Markertek. (I ordered RB-CKG72). I've also used green posterboard purchased from a local office supply store (with decent results.

I have found that with Videowave 3 as long as the background and the forground are of divergent enough colors it doesnt matter what they are.

Keep in mind that both the background and the forground can be in motion at the same time.

try thinking of the origional images, Remove color, Color, Tolerance, Pick color, Add to custom and Full screen all working together like driving a car or walking down the street and talking to a friend at the same time.

I have had no problems removing say a pink and grey sky from Brown and Green trees and inserting a purple and white wormhole effect of my own construction where the sky used to be.

On a semi related subject I am having a B2&ch of a time getting the hang of VW3 production and output. It's like a mental block and never seems to work the same way three times in a row and I feel I am wasting steps. Taking notes is not helping, it seems like there is always something new that pops up just when I think I have it down to a science.
Any thoughts or experiences??
